Description: Supervised work experience as a Health & Wellness Coach. Students provide an 8 session coaching engagement to 3 clients. Sessions are conducted face-to-face or via technology. The student-coach is responsible for all communication with the clients, scheduling and conducting coaching sessions, and writing coaching notes. The coaching process is monitored and mentored by the instructor who is a board-certified coach. Student-coaches also complete three practical skills assessments with a mentor-coach designed to formatively build coaching skills.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: HSC 477 and HSC 496 Graduate Level Course: This course is approved for graduate credit
